2020 shows

Sadly after these shows Covid struck and all cat shows (and almost everything else!) were cancelled so I didn't do any more in 2020.

Coventry & Leicester Cat Club & Sphynx Cat Association 15/02/2020. My first double show! I did well again and once again won both Best Non Pedigree AND Overall Best HP in the Coventry and Best HP Kitten in the Sphynx.

My write ups -

Coventry

Judge Brenda Gray:- Any Shorthair Kitten This was a very hard class, could have given them both firsts, but sadly had to choose one and he won my heart, 1st 339  Hercule Purrot Shorthair Black & White 5 months. 4 white paws, black moustache on a white chevron on his nose. Long white whiskers, very very happy to be cuddled, My BIS non Ped Pet. Later to win BIS Well Done and Well deserved!!

Sphynx

Judge Elaine Brock: Any SH Kitten 1st & BOC to HERCULE PURROT Stunning little black & white kitten just old enough to be here. He came out quite happily for cuddles, my steward didn’t want to put him back in. Loved his moustache and his posh name. Super temperament for one so young & he smelt divine, my take home baby.

Judge Witolda Maruszewska: BOV Judging I was invited to judge the Best of Variety non-pedigree pet, and I had some lovely cats to choose from. My final cut of two truly exceptional exhibits left me with an absolute headache, and I found myself having to really split hairs. It was such a hard decision, but in the end I went for Hutchinson’s Tallis over Hercule Purrot, the latter being the only cat that I didn’t handle earlier in the day. Hercule Purrot: This beautifully groomed black and white mousetachioed kitten could have walked into his show pen straight out of an advert for Felix kitten food. Very shy and uncertain to start off with, he wasn’t interested in coming out of his pen for cuddles at all. But when the penny dropped that my pockets contained a selection of interesting toys that he could play with, his reluctance quickly vanished, his yellow eyes widened, and he morphed into the wiggly, cheeky, playful and nosey kitten that I had been expecting to meet. He did handle a bit like a greased rugby ball in a rainstorm however, but he and I thoroughly enjoyed a good and hotly-contested game of tug-of-shoelace.

Best Non-Pedigree Pet & Overall Best Household Pet, Gwynedd - Hercule Purrot.jpg

Gwynedd Cat Club 01/02/2020. This was my first ever cat show! I was only just under 5 months old but I did really well. It was fab cos I got cuddles from EVERYONE! From the vet at vetting in (we all have to undergo a brief examination by a vet, nothing big like temperature though, just eyes, ears and mouths checked, coats checked for fleas and claws to make sure they have been trimmed so we can't hurt the judges if we accidentally catch them) to the judges and their stewards.  I loved all the fuss and attention and I won my main kitten class. I then wowed the judges so much that I not only then won Best Non Pedigree in the show but also the Overall Best Household Pet (HP) in the whole show! How good was that!

My write ups -

Judge Jean Broad: ANY SH KITTEN 1 ST HERCULE PURROT How could anyone not adore this extra special black and white baby, just 4 months old? So ultra sweet with white socks half way up his legs and a black moustache. He purred and cuddled all the while he was being judged. He won my Overall BIS Household Pet award, he was the greatest!! Not bad for his first outing.

Judge Sue McParlin -  AC SH Kitten 1 st  and BIC awarded to HERCULE PURROT Lovely little black and white baby. Well-toned little body, he looks like he gets lots of exercise and play at home! Love his white stockings and black moustache. A real sweetie, taking an interest in his surroundings and not fazed by his day out. Beautifully prepared and smells scrumptious. A little superstar in the making.

After the above shows
